The AreaLocated in the southeastern section of Virginia, Virginia Beach is the most populated city in the state with numbers approaching 450,000. Other main attractions include the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center, the Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater and the Town Center. Established in 2002, the Virginia Beach Town Center (or Downtown Va. Beach) is a $300 million center which contains a number of hotels, shops, and restaurants. It’s located on Virginia Beach Blvd. across from Pembroke Mall. There are many great schools in the city including Cox High School, First Colonial High School, and Kempsville High School.
