Churchland High School was established in it's current location in 1992 and enrolls approximately 1800 students. The schools mission is to provide a challenging learning experience, a secure environment, and exciting extra-curricular activities for the students. Churchland offers a rigorous academic program, as a matter of fact, all students must have at least a 2.0 GPA in order to graduate from the school. CHS puts a big emphasis on the visual arts and furthermore is designated as a magnet school for the study. Students can feel well-prepared to enter future studies in the areas of orchestra, performing arts, band, and drama. The athletic program at Churchland is impressive and comes in handy while playing their rivals at Western Branch High School in their 4,000 seat gymnasium.
