The Crossings

The Crossings of Western Branch is a large, sought out neighborhood in Chesapeake located off of Bruce Rd.  Access to The Crossings can be reached by taking I-664 to the Pughesville exit, turn right onto Taylor Rd., and then a left on Bruce Rd.  Construction of this 94 acre parcel began in the mid 90's and the homes were built by just two builders, Napolitano and Donald Moore.  Crossings Drive is the main road that takes residents all the way to the back of the neighborhood, nearly 1 1/2 miles, with many side streets and cul-de-sacs along the way.  One of the many aspects that I love about The Crossings is the fact when the area was developed, many of the large trees were left, giving the neighborhood a lot of character and shade.  There are quite a few different floorplans to choose from but the general characteristics include an open layout, 9 foot ceilings, and lots of square footage.

The Crossings is located in close proximity to lots of shopping. Chesapeake Square Mall is within several miles along with two Food Lions, a Target, Walmart, Sam's Club, and several strip malls.

Schools for the area include Western Branch Elementary, Middle School, and High School.

Currently there are 8 homes for sale in The Crossings ranging from $310,000 to $389,000. Square footages start at around 1800 and can be as big as 3500.  There are no town homes and most of the properties are 2-story with 2-car garages.
