River Forest Shores

Bordered by the Elizabeth River, Newtown Road, and Military Highway, this secluded neighborhood is divided into three sections: River Forest Shores, Wayside Manor, and Easton Place. It had its beginnings in the 1950’s. There are two main roads that run through the community: Sellger Drive and Kidd Blvd.

River Forest Shores and Easton Place are basically made up of single-family brick ranch style houses. Wayside Manor has smaller single-family shingled homes.  Four churches are located in this community:  Aldersgate Methodist Church, Riverside Baptist Church, St. Peters Episcopal Church, and Tidewater Gospel Assembly.

Convenient shopping is located only 3-4 miles away:  Military Circle Mall and Janaf Shopping Center. There is easy access to Interstate 64 from Military Highway and Interstate 264 from Newtown Road.
