Lagomar

Lagomar is an upscale neighborhood located in the southeastern section of Virginia Beach, Va. between the resort area of the city and Sandbridge.  The entrance to the neighborhood is located off of Sandbridge Road and flanked by Hells Point Golf Club.  With nearly 600 homes, this beautiful neighborhood was established in the late 1960's.  The subdivision was developed slowly in several different phases over the last 40 years, close to half of the homes were built in the 70s and 80's.  Large lots, unique architecture, and mature trees give Lagomar a distinct character that you're sure to love. There are waterfront properties in the neighborhood as well that allow its homeowners the ability to leave their private dock and travel the canal that leads to the Backbay Wildlife Refuge.  For beach lovers, Lagomar residents are within 15 minutes to the boardwalk of the resort area. If you prefer smaller crowds, you are also just 10 minutes away from the beaches of Sandbridge.  For decades, Lagomar was isolated from shopping, however, within the last several years a large shopping center was built nearby including a Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Michael's, and many other small businesses.
