Kings Grant

Kings Grant is located in the north central section of Virginia Beach in, what locals call, the Lynnhaven area.  Over the years this neighborhood has become a sought out area due to high quality schools, upkeep and maintenance of the current properties, and convenience to shopping.  Homes here can be a little pricey compared to other neighborhoods in Virginia Beach but buyers don’t seem to mind paying extra for the added benefits.  Shopping is plentiful with a huge selection of large national stores, small private businesses, and strip malls within just a few minutes drive.  Need milk?  Kroger, Food Lion, Sam’s Club, and Harris Teeter are all just around the corner.  Two other notable retail outlets in close proximity are Home Depot and Lynnhaven Mall.  There are tons of things to do near Kings Grant, some of which include Laser Tag, the Virginia Beach Central Library, and the beach. 

At last check, there were 26 homes for sale in Kings Grant, ranging from $225,000 to $819,000.  Square footages tend to run from about 1700 to 3000.  Property types include very few town homes and mostly single-family detached properties.  Most of the homes in Kings Grant are ranches.  Although there are a few newer homes built post 2000, most were constructed in the 60’s and 70’s.  Because of the very nature of our metropolitan area, there are a lot of neighborhoods in Virginia Beach that are waterfront.  Kings Grant is no different.  There is a small portion of King’s Grant where you can live on the water and, of course, the price reflects that choice. 

Schools for the neighborhood are Kings Grant Elementary, Kingston Elementary, Lynnhaven Middle School, and First Colonial High School.
