Burbage Grant

Located on the James River and flanked by Interstate 664, Burbage Grant dwarfs many other neighborhoods in Hampton Roads. This huge development is actually divided into 8 smaller neighborhoods with literally hundreds of homes in total. From Townpoint Rd. you'll take Respass Beach which is a long wide road going straight throught the middle of the neighborhood, giving residents easy access to their homes. Although Burbage Grant was born in the mid 90's, you get the feeling that the neighborhood has matured and been well-maintained. At the front of the subdivision are the least expensive homes starting at $194,000 with 1260 square feet and are attached condos. The majority, however, are single detached homes starting at around $229,000 with 2233 square feet and can go up way over $400,000 with over 3000 square feet. Currently there are 45 homes for sale in Burbage Grant. The most expensive homes are in the back of the neighborhood on the James River. I have seen some really nice lots in the back, especially for those who like boating. I really believe that one of the longest residential piers in Hampton Roads is here. I know it took me 3 minutes to get to the end of it. The primary property type is transitional or contemporary, with open floor plans and cathedral ceilings. This style also includes the smaller condos.

Burbage Grant definitely gives off a family-friendly vibe, with it's many bike paths and park. As residents, you and yours can also enjoy the community tennis courts, gym, and swimming pool. Notable retail outlets in close proximity are Food Lion, Walmart, and Ruby Tuesday's. All of these are less than 3 or 4 minutes away. Commuting is easy with I-664, especially if you work in the western section of Chesapeake or even Hampton. From Burbage Grant, you could easily be in Chesapeake, Portsmouth, and Hampton within 15 minutes, depending on rush hour, of course.
