- · Behind the sofa. This is a great place to put extra pillows and blankets in a trunk or small cabinet.
- · Room under the bed? Add rolling wheels that you can get from any hardware store to old dresser drawers that you can find at a yard sale perhaps.
- · Ever thought of this? Purchase a garden trellis from your local garden store and screw in decorative cabinet door knobs for hooks. This can give you or your child a couple of dozen places to hang hats or handbags and you can paint to match any décor.
- · Off the floor. In your shed or garage, screw bicycle hooks into the ceiling or wall studs to store things such as trimmers, extension cords, or even a bike.
- · Decked out. We built a simple, out-of-the-way box on our deck to store ALL of the kid's toys and pool floats. This definitely cleans things up(if only you can get the kids to use it)!
- · When in doubt, throw it out. My wife and I tend to really accumulate things throughout the year. Every once in a while, we go through and purge each room. Also, a yearly yard sale works great. Last time we made over $800.
